The comments below are from Les and Carole King. We built their 3900 SF home in Baldwin County. It features the energy efficiency of open cell spray foam insulation by AirTight applied to 2x6 stud wall cavities and 2x8 rafter spaces. Other energy efficiency features include 18 Seer 2 speed Evolution heat pumps by Bryant, Low-E thermopane glass vinyl windows, whole house ventilation with dehumidified outside air intake, high efficiency Rheem Marathon hot water heaters, sealed and insulated crawl space. In addition the house wrap was sealed and taped to further reduce air infiltration. The wood burning FireRock fireplace features two outside air intakes with a glass door enclosure for energy efficiency.
The comments below are in regards to Teri Dumeyer's 2500 SF home that was built in an established Fairhope neighborhood. It featured conventional stucco with an elastomeric finish system. Teri's home incorporated the same energy efficiency features as the King's home, except that it was built on a slab and featured a Heatilator direct vent gas fireplace.
The comments below are from Ann and Alfred Cowley. We built three homes for Ann and Alfred over years. All three were designed and custom built in the Fairhope area. All three were built with energy efficiency in mind and incorporated many of the same features as the King and Dumeyer homes.
